This is interesting. This set is made of a composite material, somewhat like particle board. The stocks are brass lined. Several sets have turned up in the Chicago area, however to date I haven't been able to find out the maker.
You can see the top layer wearing or chipping off. Also the tuning pin just snapped in two. It appears as if the maker also made a chanter of the same material.
