I had these pictures for many years not knowing what to do with them. The bass drone tuning pin is stamped "J Macdougall Dundee" however this set looks nothing like the other "J MacDougall Dundee" bagpipe shown elsewhere in this museum. The style is much different and suggests a much later date of manufacture.
In Jeannie Campbell's "More Highland Bagpipe Makers" we find a James MacDougall making bagpipes in Dundee from 1895 to 1907. Jeannie exhibited pictures of a miniature bagpipe bearing this stamp.
