Although some things point to J&R Glen, I don’t think so. Notice that the fit with the upper projecting mounts (tenor bottoms) is not consistent. One tenor bottom appears narrower than the other. Also, the detail and spacing doesn’t line up at the bottom projecting mount. The bass drone silver cap is too large for the bell and the detail under the caps of the tenor drones is not the same. The ferrule on the bass drone top section is larger in diameter than the wood.
These issues may mean that the silver was a retro-fit or it may mean that someone less-skilled than Glen turners made this bagpipe. I have come to expect only the best from all the Glen makers and turners.
