Early reel bagpipe, probably made sometime between 1825 and 1850.
The textiles are a strong clue regarding age. Also the profile of the projecting mounts. Smaller bagpipes, those that would be considered 1/2 size or 3/4 size were quite popular during those time. People tended to be much smaller that those in more modern times. Also, these smaller bagpipes were very popular indoor instruments.
