I don’t remember where I got these. Note the bone projecting mounts are pinned to the wood.
There is a considerable amount to be found (on the Internet and elsewhere) about Captain Robert Monteith. He was been born in 1879 and died 1956. He joined the British Army in 1894 and was notable in the Boer War in 1899. I could find no indication that he played the bagpipe.
