MacDougall, Duncan (Breadalbane)

The pictures to the right (top) are courtesy of Andreas Hartmann-Virnich. He acquired the set is extremely distressed condition however multiple stamps were present and therefore the bagpipe served as an important and authentic relic. Note that there is no threading on the inside of the mounts nor on the tenons. Also note that the combing is inconsistent throughout.

The next four pictures are courtesy of Jim McGillivray. They, too, are stamped “Breadalbane” and are in excellent condition thanks to the good people at Dunbar Bagpipes.

This next exhibit is interesting as it was purchased with an apparent photo of the piper/owner inside the pipe box.

Pictures of a wood-mount set stamped “Breadalbane” at the left and then more miscellaneous pictures below. What I find interesting is that the mounts are fully formed into what we see most on classic Duncan MacDougall bagpipes.
