Ferrules, mounts, rings, and bushings have been made from several different materials over the years. Some bagpipes even have a combination of materials, perhaps based on availability. During the late 1800’s materials meant to imitate ivory were used, namely Casein, Celluloid, and Catalin. I’m seeking additional pictures. Many of mine are too small to be suitable for digital display.
